Welcome! This module is your step-by-step guide to becoming a confident and capable business researcher. Over the next 14 weeks, you won't just learn about research; you will do it. You will design, propose, and carry out your own business research project on a topic that matters to you.

The goal is to equip you with the skills to ask the right questions, find credible answers, and communicate your findings effectively—skills that are invaluable in any business career.

• Understand the "Why": Explain the different ways of thinking about research (philosophies) and choose the right approach for your project.

• Design the "How": Create a solid research proposal with a clear aim, objectives, and a plan for collecting data, all while considering practical issues like ethics and access.

• Do the Research: Actually conduct your research, whether that means running surveys, doing interviews, or analysing existing data.

• Make Sense of It All: Analyse your findings using appropriate techniques and present them clearly to your audience.

• Learn and Grow: Critically reflect on your research journey—what worked, what didn't, and what you would do differently next time.
